For your custom shims, we create a tool to be used for your exclusive requirements. We are able to make these to the specifications dictated by you, the customer. We use relatively low cost steel rule dies, reducing lead time. Any shape, any size, we can make your specifics a reality.

Artus Corp. precision manufactures the highest quality shims in color coded plastic, color coded aluminum, brass, stainless steel, and low carbon steel (cold rolled).


 

Plastic Shims, Color Coded

Artus Corp. manufactures the highest quality standard and custom plastic shims. Flexible and long-wearing, Artus plastic shims are non-hygroscopic and impervious to oil to make the perfect seal.

Standard and custom plastic shims are available in any required shape and a variety of thicknesses from 0.0005” to 0.060”. Color coding is used for easy, accurate thickness identification (see chart). Artus also manufactures plastic Timken shims for cone and cup adjusted taper roller bearings (see Timken Chart for specifications).

Cost saving steel rule dies can be made in 2 to 3 days, reducing lead time on initial orders for new shim designs. There are no set-up charges on subsequent orders.


Aluminum Shims, Color Coded

Artus Corp. manufactures the highest quality standard and custom aluminum shims in any required shape and a variety of thicknesses from .001” to .030”. Color coding is used for easy, accurate thickness identification (see chart). Artus also manufactures aluminum Timken shims for cone and cup adjusted taper roller bearings (see Timken Chart for specifications).

Non-compressible, burr-free, rust proof, and durable, Artus aluminum shims are designed for use in operating temperatures in excess of 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Custom dies can be made to cut shims up to 24 inch diameter in a single piece. Larger OD shims require segmented dies.

Artus Corp. manufactures the highest quality standard and custom stainless steel shims in any thickness and quantity required. Made from 300 series stainless steel, Artus stainless steel shims stand up to extreme conditions and demanding applications, to do the job as no other material can.

All products are manufactured in our newly expanded, state-of-the-art facility featuring cost saving punch and die laser technology to stamp your large volume runs as well as accommodate smaller ones too.


Low Carbon Steel Shims

Artus Corp. manufactures the highest quality standard and custom cold rolled low carbon steel shims for use in a wide variety of demanding applications. Available in any thickness or quantity you require, shims are fabricated using cold rolled 1010 low carbon steel.

All products are manufactured in our newly expanded, state-of-the-art facility featuring cost saving laser technology.
