Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

RN will work either 36 hours per week on day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, or four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The position includes a rotating call schedule with weekend and weekday call.

Job Description

The registered nurse (RN) will provide patient care in the operating room. Responsibilities include assisting with surgical procedures, monitoring patients, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment. Call duties will be shared between Call 1 and Call 2, with the possibility of holiday call if it falls within the RN’s contract period.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures and provide direct patient care in the operating room.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to maintain a safe environment.
• Participate in rotating call schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 3 years of current/recent OR experience required.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with robotic, neuro, and ortho procedures is recommended.
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is preferred.
