Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

Schedule

This position requires a night shift with a schedule of 3×12-hour shifts.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining the delivery of quality care by ensuring that the nursing care plan is followed. This role involves supervising Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orienting new staff, all while prioritizing patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on assessment data.
• Provide timely patient information during team conferences.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching on the day of admission.
• Maintain communication regarding changes in patient status with care providers.
• Supervise ancillary nursing personnel and provide necessary training.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies.
• Contribute positively to the unit’s functioning through teamwork.
• Identify professional growth opportunities through continuing education.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (specific to certain locations).
• Minimum of two years of bedside clinical experience required.
• ICU experience is required.
