Registered Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown Unit

Straight Nights, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac stepdown unit. In this crucial role, you will observe patients’ physical conditions, provide essential nursing care, and assist in the early detection of potential health issues, working closely with doctors, specialists, and other healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor vital signs and assess patients’ overall physical condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide assistance with daily living activities such as feeding and mobility.
• Document and report significant changes in patient conditions promptly.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations and follow appropriate protocols.
• Adhere to hospital infection control policies and ensure patient safety.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Ohio nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in cardiac stepdown or similar.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required through the American Heart Association.
