Neuro Stepdown Registered Nurse – Night Shift

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Job Description

The Neuro Stepdown Registered Nurse provides specialized care for patients recovering from neurological procedures and conditions. The nurse will manage complex patient needs and work closely with the team to provide high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients in the neuro stepdown unit.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Provide comprehensive patient education and support.
• Document patient care accurately and timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• MUST HAVE 18 months of recent Neuro Stepdown experience.
• MUST HAVE PERMANENT Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand at time of submission.
• Current certifications: American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate will be assessed during orientation.
• ONE reference from a manager or supervisor in the specialty applying for is REQUIRED to qualify for submission.
