Registered Nurse – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Schedule

Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3×12-Hour shifts

Job Description

The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in the ICU, ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice and patient safety. The role involves managing patients with complex medical needs and collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond to changes in status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 18 months of recent pediatric nursing experience, with a preference for travel experience.
• Experience in epilepsy monitoring and care for patients up to age 25.
• Must possess a valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Proficiency in EKG interpretation and managing inotropes.
• NIHSS certification is preferred.
