Location: Grande Oaks- Oakwood, Ohio 44146

Schedule: Full- Time Day Shift (7a-7p)

Our specialized Respiratory/Ventilator Unit supports residents requiring advanced respiratory care in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Respiratory/Ventilator Unit. This role focuses on caring for residents who are ventilator-dependent or have complex respiratory conditions. The RN will work closely with respiratory therapists, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, effective, and resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents on mechanical ventilators and with complex respiratory needs
  • Monitor ventilator settings, respiratory status, and vital signs; recognize and respond to changes in condition
  • Administer medications, treatments, and respiratory therapies as ordered
  • Perform tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway management
  • Collaborate with respiratory therapists, physicians, and care team members
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and resident responses in the medical record
  • Educate residents and families on care plans, respiratory treatments, and disease management
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety standards, and facility policies

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio
  • Experience in respiratory care preferred
  • Long-term care, skilled nursing, or critical care experience a plus
  • Strong assessment, clinical, and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
