ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Ohio
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required
• Ability to complete healthcare onboarding requirements (health screenings, background checks, competency exams, and skills checklists)
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate advanced critical care equipment
• Educate patients and families on care plans and procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment according to hospital policies
