Job Requirements – Med/Surg Tele RN Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months recent, permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry or Telemetry RN roles
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or Compact State license (Ohio nursing jobs)
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in Med/Surg Tele specialty
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to pass ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation (cardiac monitoring skills required)
• Must complete BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
• All required certifications must be active at time of submission
• Permanent and per diem candidates must not have worked at Cleveland Clinic hospitals within the past year

Responsibilities – Telemetry RN / Med/Surg Duties

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (telemetry RN responsibilities)
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, perform ECG interpretation, and manage cardiac monitoring systems
• Administer medications safely and accurately; complete safeMedicate and medication documentation
• Perform nursing assessments, develop and implement patient care plans with interdisciplinary teams
• Document patient care timely and accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and post-discharge care
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and staff and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
