Healthcare Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry Unit (3 East/West)
Contract Type: Travel RN contract

End Date: May 1, 2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00pm – 7:30am)
Alternative Shift Options: 4x12s or 2x12s available
Hours per Week: 36

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 18 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required for travel nurse candidates
Active, permanent Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license
Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS certifications
NIHSS certification (willingness to obtain prior to start)
Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation (2 attempts maximum)

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms; respond to changes in patient status
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record
Participate in orientation and required competency assessments
Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
Offer compassionate support and education to patients and families
