• Unit: 4 South (4S) – 24-bed mixed acuity Progressive Care Unit
• Start Date: December 14, 2025
• End Date: February 7, 2026
• Duration: 8-week nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:5/6
• Float: Required to other hospital units

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or Telemetry RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license (Nursys verification required)
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
• Epic EMR experience within the last year (must be documented on resume)
• Accredited nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE program
• Ability to provide up to 7 days of requested time off (RTO) at submission
• Strong telemetry and progressive care background
• Comfortable caring for COVID-19 and isolation patients

PCU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a Progressive Care Unit setting
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, administer cardiovascular medications, and manage IV drips
• Perform frequent neurological assessments and respond to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized care plans
• Float to other hospital units as needed for clinical support
• Document all nursing care accurately in Epic EMR
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
