We are seeking experienced PCU RNs / Travel RNs for a 13-week assignment to provide progressive care to adult and geriatric patients following cardiac and vascular procedures.   • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
  • Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30); weekdays and some weekends; rotating holidays
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Patient Ratio: 1:3
  • Orientation: 36 hours
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940 - $2040

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, step-down, or telemetry nursing experience required
  • Active RN license (Ohio RN license or compact license required at time of submission)
  • Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required (Travel RN / Travel Nurse)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
  • Must provide two professional references, including one manager/director or supervisor

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients recovering from cardiac and vascular surgeries (CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, stents/grafts, AAA, bypass, post-lung transplant, and related procedures)
  • Manage patients with complex secondary diagnoses including GI bleed, renal failure, COPD/airway disease, diabetes, pneumonia, sepsis, and heart failure
  • Perform and manage IV starts, telemetry monitoring, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, wound care, and advanced post-op care
  • Interpret and manage cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias; provide telemetry assessment and interventions
  • Document accurately and efficiently using EPIC electronic medical records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, radiology, and social services
  • Float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed while maintaining patient safety standards
  • Adhere to infection control practices and unit isolation precautions
  • Participate in rotating holiday and weekend coverage as scheduled
