Travel RN Job Details

• Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Unit: Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) / Oncology
• Start Date: January 26, 2026
• End Date: May 18, 2026
• Duration: 16 weeks
• Shifts: Rotating Day (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and Night (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3x12-hour shifts/week
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Population: Adults
• Unit Size: 12 beds

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at submission)
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• Experience with EPIC charting system
• Oncology nursing experience preferred
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (all required)
• Must provide two professional references (including one supervisor/manager)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

SICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to adult patients in the SICU/Oncology unit
• Manage patients with complex diagnoses: hemorrhagic/hypovolemic shock, sepsis, ARDS, craniotomy, stroke, and more
• Perform and monitor advanced procedures: External Ventricular Drain management, ICP monitoring, Massive Transfusion Protocol, Mechanical Ventilation, Heated High Flow, Bipap, CPAP, Tracheostomy management, CRRT, and vasopressor titration
• Administer blood products, titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips, and manage ventilated patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Float as needed to MICU, SICU, Med/Surg, or PCU units
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC electronic health records
• Adhere to infection prevention and isolation protocols
