• Unit: 5WE Ortho/Trauma (31 beds)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025 – End: 3/16/2026)
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-6
• Employment Type: Travel nursing job
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680-$1800

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or compact state nursing license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
• Ortho nursing experience required; trauma nursing experience preferred
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• Ability to float to similar medical-surgical units
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Conduct and document comprehensive patient assessments
• Develop and maintain individualized nursing care plans
• Safely administer medications according to hospital policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to set patient goals and discharge plans
• Educate patients and families based on identified learning needs
• Serve as a patient advocate and safety champion
• Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives
• Float to similar Med/Surg units as needed
