Role Description

Staff Nurses - Operating Room & Prep/PACU at Ohio Orthopedic Surgery Institute located in Columbus, OH, and Grove City Surgery Center located in Grove City, OH.

Operating Room-Nurse

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to patients during before, during, and after surgical procedures. Duties include preparing the operating room, assisting with surgeries, monitoring patient vitals, maintaining sterile environments, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Staff Nurse will uphold all safety and quality standards while ensuring patient comfort and well-being during procedures.

Qualifications- Circulating Nurse

  • Proficiency in Operating Room protocols and practices
  • Strong background in Nursing with knowledge of patient safety and care
  • Experience in Surgery and assisting medical teams during procedures
  • Skills in providing compassionate and effective Patient Care
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Nurse Prep/PACU RNs

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Staff Nurse in the Prep/PACU department at the Ohio Orthopedic Surgery Institute, located in Columbus, OH. The Staff Nurse will be responsible for preparing patients for surgical procedures, providing post-anesthesia care, and monitoring patient conditions during recovery. Additional responsibilities include administering medications, maintaining accurate and thorough documentation, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care to patients.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Ohio and BLS/ACLS certification
  • Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and post-anesthesia care
  • Proficiency in monitoring vital signs, managing IV therapy, and wound care
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond effectively in critical situations
  • Experience in orthopedic or surgical nursing is an advantage
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and maintaining high standards of professional practice
