Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1940 - $1990 PCU Registered Nurse Job Details Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) - Ohio nursing jobs Unit: 10 Rhodes Transplant (Abdominal Transplant Unit) Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) Start Date: December 15, 2025 End Date: March 16, 2026 Duration: 13-week nursing contract Shift: 3x12 hour nights (19:00 - 07:30), weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays Hours per Week: 36 Patient Ratio: 1:4-5 Setting: On-site, hospital-based clinical support Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license - compact or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Previous travel nursing experience preferred Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed Two professional references required (at least one from a nurse manager, director, or formal leadership role) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) PCU Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients in the Progressive Care Unit, specializing in abdominal transplant (kidney, liver, pancreas) cases Monitor and manage patients with complex diagnoses including transplant recovery, infections, acute kidney injury, uncontrolled diabetes, hepatology, and GI bleeds Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and central/peripheral line care Utilize Epic for accurate and timely clinical documentation Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, and pharmacy Float to other nursing units within the hospital as needed Maintain a safe, supportive, and patient-centered environment for patients and families Join our healthcare team in Columbus, Ohio, and take the next step in your travel nursing career.
