• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from admission onward

• Provide supervision and training to ancillary nursing personnel with effective delegation
• Maintain personal and environmental safety in compliance with hospital policies
• Support a positive unit environment through calm leadership and teamwork

• Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested post-orientation
