Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Delphos, Ohio

Deliver advanced nursing care in a dynamic stepdown unit supporting patients with complex multisystem conditions. This role requires skilled registered nurses licensed to practice under compact state privileges, bringing expertise in telemetry, renal care, and critical care nursing. The 28-bed unit features multisystem trauma and organ failure cases, with a focus on evidence-based patient-focused action and interdisciplinary coordination.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Interpret telemetry data every 4 hours using EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Administer medications including Cardizem, Nitro, Heparin drips, and manage advanced oxygen modalities such as trachs, BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula.
• Serve as a patient advocate collaborating with spiritual, palliative care, and ethics teams.
• Support families and caregivers throughout the patient care journey.
• Practice in accordance with professional nursing models emphasizing physiologic, psychologic, and psychosocial stability.
• Maintain patient safety through quality improvement initiatives and adherence to infection control protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• Current RN license in a compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory; CCRN, PCCN, and NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
• Prior experience with CAPD and ability to manage patients with complex respiratory support preferred.
• Exposure to acute care settings and familiarity with EPIC or similar EHR systems beneficial.
• Skilled in communication, cultural competency, clinical judgment, and emergency response.

Schedule & Location

• 12-hour AM shifts, every other weekend and holidays.
