Registered Nurse Oncology | Mason, Ohio

A specialized nursing opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses with expertise in oncology and bone marrow transplant (BMT) care. This contract role is based in Mason, OH, on a combined 30-bed inpatient BMT/Oncology unit that includes stem cell therapy, chemotherapy, and clinical trials. Nurses will work alongside a dedicated team providing advanced care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and manage complex BMT patient care in a 16-bed and 14-bed inpatient setting
• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate charting and documentation
• Monitor patients closely with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6 to ensure quality care
• Float to other comparable units as needed to support patient care and unit operations

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med Surg, telemetry, PCU, BMT, or inpatient oncology settings
• At least 1 year of travel nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years of Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) experience
• Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy or Oncology Certified Nurse Certification (ONCC Chemo-bio)
• Proven experience administering chemotherapy safely and effectively
• Proficient with EPIC EMR/charting systems

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Typically 3 shifts of 12 hours
• Every other weekend rotation
