Critical Care Registered Nurse - Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio

A registered nurse with a strong background in intensive care is sought for a contract position in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. This opportunity involves working in a well-respected healthcare setting providing critical care to patients in the ICU. The role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing care during day shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule, from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

• Minimum of 18 months recent ICU experience
• At least 18 months permanent experience in the ICU specialty prior to this assignment
• Valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition is required; assessments completed during orientation
• Successful completion of safeMedicate assessment during orientation

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes promptly, and intervene appropriately
• Complete documentation accurately and use electronic systems, including Qualivis - Lotus, for submitting hours worked
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and clinical guidelines

Schedule/Hours

• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM)
