Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Lakewood, Ohio

Providing skilled nursing care on a medical-surgical telemetry unit during night shifts, this role offers the opportunity to apply recent and relevant clinical expertise in a well-regarded healthcare setting. The position is a contract with a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts, supporting patient care from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

• Minimum of 18 months recent and permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience
• Active permanent Ohio RN license OR a compact state license valid in Ohio
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong ability to recognize ECG rhythms and competently administer medications, with assessments completed during orientation
• Willingness to work at least every other holiday as part of the schedule
• Familiarity with electronic documentation systems or the ability to quickly learn systems such as Qualivis and Lotus for timekeeping

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care for patients requiring medical-surgical and telemetry monitoring
• Conduct thorough assessments, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to patient needs during night hours
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety standards, including electrocardiogram rhythm recognition and safe medication administration
• Accurately document patient care and hours worked using designated electronic systems
