Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) | Lakewood, Ohio

Provide specialized nursing care in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit, focusing on patient safety and effective treatment during night shifts. This role involves closely monitoring patients cardiac rhythms and responding promptly to changes, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and hospital standards. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit during night shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM).
• Monitor ECG rhythms accurately and respond to telemetry alerts.
• Administer medications safely, completing required assessments with satisfactory scores.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain detailed records of patient progress and treatments using electronic documentation systems.
• Work at least every other holiday, providing consistent patient coverage.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 18 months recent and permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience.
• Current permanent Ohio RN license or an active Compact State license.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Ability to successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation.
