Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Lorain, Ohio

Qualifications and Desired Experience

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg Telemetry nursing prior to assignment
• Recent 18 months of Med/Surg Tele experience (travel experience accepted)
• Current Ohio RN license or a Compact State license in hand
• American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety demonstrated through assessments
• Comfortable with using electronic systems for submitting work hours

Schedule/Hours

• 3x12-hour shifts, primarily day (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Shift rotation possible to meet operational needs, with efforts to accommodate preferences

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients on Med/Surg Telemetry units
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies and safety protocols
