Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) | Medina, Ohio

A specialized nursing role is available in a fast-paced Med/Surg Telemetry unit, offering a dynamic 3x12-hour rotating shift schedule with nights and days (7:00 PM7:30 AM / 7:00 AM7:30 PM). This position requires proven clinical expertise and adaptability to meet fluctuating operational demands.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• At least 18 months of permanent experience in Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing prior to assignment
• Recent (within 18 months) Med/Surg Telemetry experience, including travel assignments
• Permanent Ohio RN license or a license from a compact state
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Proficiency in ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety protocols (assessed during orientation)
• Commitment to work at least every other holiday

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients in a hospital setting
• Perform accurate and timely ECG rhythm analysis to detect cardiac irregularities
• Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses according to established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize electronic systems for logging hours and documentation compliance
