Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) | Mentor, Ohio

An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical and Telemetry experience to support patient care in a hospital setting. Schedule/Hours

• Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
• Typically 3x12-hour shifts per week
• Shifts may vary according to hospital operational needs

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Administer treatments, including chemotherapy training available for qualified candidates
• Monitor vital signs and perform ECG rhythm recognition assessments
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and medication administration
• Participate in safety and compliance protocols throughout shifts

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing, with recent travel assignment experience acceptable
• Ohio RN license or active compact state license required
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications
• Preferred: At least one year of recent oncology/chemotherapy administration experience, though training will be provided
• Must be able to work at least every other holiday
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
