PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Elyria, Ohio

Deliver critical care in a progressive stepdown unit environment, providing skilled nursing to patients requiring close monitoring and support post-ICU. Schedule/Hours

• 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Rotating days and nights (7:00 am7:30 pm / 7:00 pm7:30 am)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care within a stepdown setting, ensuring patient safety and advocacy
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status utilizing advanced assessment skills
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and safety standards
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans
• Participate in orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 18 months recent permanent experience in stepdown or progressive care nursing prior to travel assignment; travel experience in this specialty counts
• Valid Permanent Ohio nursing license or compact state license held in hand at start of assignment
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (American Red Cross preferred)
• Ability to work at least every other holiday as part of the team
• Proficiency with electronic timekeeping systems for accurate submission of hours worked
