PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Medina, Ohio

Registered Nurses with Stepdown unit expertise are needed for a contract position in Medina, OH. This role involves caring for patients requiring specialized cardiac and progressive care in a high-acuity hospital setting. Candidates will work primarily 12-hour rotating shifts covering day and night hours, supporting patient recovery and collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications and Desired Experience

• Minimum 18 months of permanent nursing experience in Stepdown or cardiac progressive care units prior to the assignment
• Recent 18 months of cardiac Stepdown experience; travel experience accepted
• Permanent Ohio nursing license or Compact State license eligible for Ohio
• Certification required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Competency in ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration (assessed during orientation)

This is a contract opportunity with rotating 12-hour shifts (7pm7:30am or 7am7:30pm) designed to meet operational needs. Flexibility in scheduling and shift assignments is essential. Orientations include mandatory competency assessments.
