PICU Nurse (RN) | Medina, Ohio

Provide specialized nursing care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting, delivering expert support to patients from infancy through young adulthood. This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced registered nurses with a background in pediatric critical care who are prepared to handle complex cases including epilepsy monitoring and advanced cardiac support. The role operates on a rotating shift basis, ensuring diverse clinical experience in a high-acuity environment.

Key Qualifications or Desired Experience

• Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in pediatric specialty nursing prior to travel assignment.
• Pediatric nursing experience within the last 18 months; prior travel nursing experience is acceptable.
• Current Ohio RN license or Compact State license.
• Valid certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
• Proficient in EKG interpretation and administration of inotropes.
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring and NIH Stroke Scale (preferred).
• Ability to work at least every other holiday.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
