Registered Telemetry Unit Nurse | Mason, Ohio

An advanced care-level nursing opportunity is available for experienced RNs skilled in telemetry and step-down unit care. This position supports a mixed-acuity patient population requiring proficiency with advanced drips and cardiac monitoring. Candidates with at least 1.5 years of hospital experience, preferably at Level 1 or 2 trauma centers, will thrive in this demanding clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized nursing care to advanced care patients in a mixed-acuity setting
• Manage continuous infusion drips and interpret telemetry and EKG strips accurately
• Collaborate within a team nursing model alongside LPNs and patient care technicians to optimize patient outcomes and workload distribution
• Float to various step-down and advanced care units including multiple campus locations within close proximity
• Adhere to assigned night shifts and participate in weekend and holiday rotations as required
• Complete an online EKG Telemetry competency assessment before starting the assignment

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license with current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips confidently
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience in a large hospital setting; trauma Level 1 or 2 preferred
• Willingness to float across specialty clusters and work within a team nursing model
• NIH Stroke Scale certification or willingness to obtain
• Ability to use N95 respirators or Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR) as required

Shift Details

• Night Shift 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)

Additional Information

This 13-week contract role provides overtime pay for hours exceeding 48 per week. No travel partners or holiday Return to Office (RTO) requests will be accepted. Local candidates preferred. This contract requires medical clearance without exemptions and compliance with all agency policies.
