Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the cardiac stepdown unit.
  • Monitor patient status, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans.
  • Complete mandatory assessments and maintain certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards.
  • Utilize electronic systems for documentation, including submitting worked hours accurately.
  • Work every other holiday, supporting continuous patient care coverage.

Qualifications

  • Active Ohio nursing license or Compact State license.
  • At least 18 months of permanent experience in cardiac stepdown or progressive care units.
  • Proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
  • Strong skills in ECG rhythm interpretation and safe medication administration.
  • Prior travel nursing experience in cardiac stepdown settings is highly valued.
  • Ability to adapt to variable shift schedules as operational needs dictate.

Schedule
