Stepdown RN - Elyria, Ohio

Provide expert nursing care in a specialized step-down unit focused on advanced cardiac conditions. This contract opportunity is based in Elyria, OH, offering the chance to work with complex patient cases involving heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and other critical cardiac issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and complex cardiac dysrhythmias.
• Manage care for patients with implantable cardiac devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and Ventricular Assistive Devices (VAD).
• Support pre and post-procedural care, including cardiac catheterization, ablation, and chemical cardioversion with medications like Tikosyn.
• Provide care to patients awaiting heart transplants, ensuring meticulous monitoring and treatment.
• Assist with hospitalist services, gaining a broad medical-surgical nursing experience in addition to cardiac specialty care.

Desired Experience and Qualifications

• Valid RN license with proven experience in step-down or cardiac care nursing.
• Strong understanding of advanced cardiac conditions and related treatment protocols.
• Ability to monitor and manage patients with complex cardiac devices and dysrhythmias.
