A skilled registered nurse with expertise in cardiac stepdown care is sought for a specialized role supporting critical patients in a high-acuity environment. This position is designed for nurses possessing extensive experience in cardiac stepdown or progressive care units, equipped to manage complex patient needs with precision and compassion. The role accommodates dedicated professionals ready to commit to a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, ensuring continuity of care within a leading healthcare setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a cardiac stepdown unit, monitoring and managing complex cardiac conditions.
- Utilize advanced cardiac monitoring equipment to assess and respond to changes in patient status.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring compliance with hospital protocols.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Participate in ongoing training and competency assessments, including ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety evaluations.
Qualifications
- Active, permanent Ohio nursing license or a Compact State license recognized in Ohio.
- Minimum of 18 months of recent experience in cardiac stepdown nursing; travel nursing experience in this specialty is acceptable.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
- Proven ability to work flexible night shifts on a 3x12-hour rotating schedule with occasional holiday coverage.
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule/Hours
- 12-hour shifts, primarily nights (7:00 p.m. 7:30 a.m.), with rotation to days as operational needs arise.
- Commitment to working at least every other holiday.
