NICU RN Job Details

• Location: Akron, OH 44302 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
• Contract Type: Travel Registered Nurse
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 12/2/2025 – End: 3/3/2026)
• Shift Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts (07:00 – 19:00)
• Total Hours: 36 hours per week

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (Magnet facility standard)
• Active Ohio or Compact State RN license at time of application
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• Pediatric nursing experience required
• STABLE certification preferred
• EPIC electronic health record (EHR) experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)

NICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality neonatal nursing care in a Level III/IV NICU environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Float to other units as needed, including Summa location and other clinical areas
• Utilize EPIC charting system for accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing professional education
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and best practices in nursing
