  • Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
  • Setting: Critical Care Float Pool (ICU nursing jobs)
  • Start Date: January 5, 2026
  • End Date: April 6, 2026
  • Duration: 13-week nursing contract
  • Shift: Day Shift, 3x12-Hour Shifts (07:00 – 19:30), 36 hours/week
  • Weekend Coverage: Required (minimum every other weekend)
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$1990

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU RN experience in a hospital setting
  • Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required at time of submission)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
  • Skilled in IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
  • Previous travel nursing experience highly preferred
  • Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Two professional references required (at least one from a nurse manager, director, or formal leadership role)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

ICU RN Responsibilities

  • Float between Neuro ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU as needed
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adult patients with critical and complex conditions
  • Initiate and maintain IVs, manage telemetry, and oversee ventilator management
  • Administer emergency medications and blood products
  • Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and cardiac dysrhythmias
  • Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, and pharmacy
  • Maintain infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions
  • Accurately document patient care using the EPIC system
