Travel Nurse Job Details

• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: High Risk Obstetrics, Labor & Delivery (6 Doan Hall)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Shift: 3x12-Hour Days (07:00 - 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2050 - $2100
• Patient Population: Neonates, Adolescents, Adults
• Unit Beds: 13
• Daily Census: 10
• Weekend Coverage: Required
• Orientation: 36 hours

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a U.S. hospital
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact RN license or Ohio state RN license required at submission)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• C-EFM or AWHONN Advanced (NCC C-EFM acceptable in lieu of AWHONN Advanced)
• EPIC charting experience required
• IV start and L&D experience required
• Previous travel nurse experience preferred
• Ability to float to other units within the healthcare organization as needed
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Two professional references required (one from a manager, director, or supervisor)

Labor & Delivery Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and newborns in a high-risk obstetrics environment
• Perform IV starts, administer medications, and monitor patient vital signs
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care, including high-risk antepartum patients
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the childbirth process
• Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services
• Float to other nursing units as required to meet patient care needs
• Maintain compliance with hospital and healthcare policies and procedures
