ER RN - Newark, Ohio

A registered nurse with emergency room experience is sought for a 13-week contract in Newark, OH. This role focuses on delivering high-quality care in a rural, community hospital setting. Ideal candidates have at least two years of nursing experience, preferably with some background in travel nursing and proficiency in EMR systems such as Paragon or Allscripts.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with ER experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience preferred
• Familiarity with Paragon/Allscripts EMR systems
• Previous travel nursing experience is a plus
• Ability to work holidays and block schedule preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care during 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
• Support patient assessment, triage, and treatment in a fast-paced environment
• Comply with hospital policies and procedures within a 99-bed, Joint Commission-accredited facility
• Adapt to floating within similar units, maintaining high clinical standards
• Use effective communication and teamwork skills to deliver quality care

Schedule/Hours

• 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each, daytime hours (7:00 AM 7:00 PM)
• 48-hour contracts; overtime applies after 48 hours per week
• Must be willing to work holidays
