Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) - Akron, Ohio

A skilled registered nurse with strong Med/Surg Telemetry experience is needed for a night shift position based in Akron, OH. This contract role offers flexible options with 4x12, 3x12, or 2x12-hour shifts to suit different preferences. The schedule for this opportunity is night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, working three 12-hour shifts per week.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience in a permanent setting prior to travel assignments
• Permanent Ohio nursing license or active compact state license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; willingness to obtain NIHSS certification before starting
• One recent professional reference in the specialty role from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director (Charge RN references accepted)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a Med/Surg Telemetry setting during night shifts
• Accurately monitor and interpret ECG rhythms
• Administer medications safely while adhering to all protocols
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
