Medical-Surgical Nurse (RN) | Elyria, Ohio

A registered nurse role is available for a contract position in Elyria, Ohio, specializing in medical-surgical telemetry care on the night shift. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling options with 4x12, 3x12, or 2x12-hour shifts to suit your availability, primarily working from 7 PM to 7 AM.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a current permanent Ohio license or a compact state license
• Minimum of 18 months recent experience in medical-surgical telemetry nursing
• Experience must be permanent, not travel, prior to this role
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification before starting
• One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in medical-surgical telemetry nursing (Charge RN references accepted)
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting
• Monitor ECG rhythms and respond appropriately to patient needs
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure patient safety and effective treatment
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols

Scheduling

• Night shift
• 3 shifts per week of 12 hours each (7 PM 7:30 AM)
• Options available for 4x12, 3x12 or 2x12 schedules to match personal needs
