PCU/Stepdown Nurse (RN) | Lorain, Ohio

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in cardiac stepdown nursing prior to travel
• Recent experience in cardiac stepdown or progressive care (travel experience accepted)
• Valid Ohio nursing license or Compact State license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH certification mandatory
• Ability to work every other holiday during contract period
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, monitoring and responding to complex cardiac conditions
• Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
• Perform thorough assessments and communicate patient status to multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in shift rotations and ensure continuity of care during nights and days (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm)
• Utilize electronic systems for documentation and submission of hours worked
