Key Qualifications and Experience

Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in cardiac stepdown nursing prior to travel
Recent experience in cardiac stepdown or progressive care (travel experience accepted)
Valid Ohio nursing license or Compact State license
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH certification mandatory
Ability to work every other holiday during contract period
Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients, monitoring and responding to complex cardiac conditions
Administer medications and therapies safely and accurately
Perform thorough assessments and communicate patient status to multidisciplinary teams
Participate in shift rotations and ensure continuity of care during nights and days (7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm)
Utilize electronic systems for documentation and submission of hours worked
