Registered Nurse IR - Hamilton, Ohio

An opportunity is available for a registered nurse with interventional radiology experience to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a dynamic medical imaging department. This contract position offers a Monday through Friday day shift schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric, ensuring safety and quality during interventional radiology (IR) procedures.

Key responsibilities include preparing and administering contrast media, assisting radiologists during procedures, implementing screening and safety protocols, and performing quality control measures. The nurse also coordinates patient care across departments and educates patients and their families about procedures tailored to individual needs. Maintaining accurate records, adhering to radiation safety policies, and responding effectively to emergency situations are essential components of this role.

Desired Experience and Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license compliant with ARRT/ODH requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Previous interventional radiology nursing experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system
• Knowledge of sterile techniques and contrast media administration
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
