• Location: Akron, Ohio (44304) – Ohio nursing jobs
• Facility: Level I Trauma Emergency Department (74 beds, 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio)
• Position Type: Locum Tenens Registered Nurse (Travel Contract)
• Start Date: October 19, 2025
• End Date: January 31, 2026
• Contract Duration: 15 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Block Scheduling: Available (case-by-case)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910 - $1960

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification required)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience
• Recent EPIC EMR experience (within past year, listed on resume)
• Proficient in venipuncture and IV starts
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 holidays during contract
• Willingness to float to other hospital units
• Black scrubs required

ER RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in a busy Level I Trauma emergency department
• Perform venipuncture and IV starts
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
• Respond to trauma and acute medical emergencies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to other units as needed
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
