Job Details – Columbus Healthcare Jobs

  • Location: Columbus, OH 43210
  • Unit: 7 East Rhodes, Med/Surg Telemetry Unit
  • Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/17/2025 – End: 2/16/2026)
  • Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30), weekdays and some weekends
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1940-$1990
  • Employment Type: Travel RN
  • Patient Population: Adults with chronic medical conditions
  • Unit Features: Private rooms, small unit, interdisciplinary support (IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
  • Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license required)
  • Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association)
  • IV certification
  • EPIC charting experience
  • Proficient in IV starts, monitoring, lab draws, medication administration, and patient education
  • Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias
  • Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
  • Two professional references (at least one from a manager/director or leadership role)

RN Responsibilities – Medical/Surgical Telemetry

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with chronic medical conditions
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry data and dysrhythmias
  • Initiate and manage IVs, perform lab draws, and administer medications
  • Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
  • Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Float to other units within the hospital as required
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures
