RN Behavioral Health Job Details Job Title: Assessment Specialist Registered Nurse – Behavioral Health Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Healthcare Setting: Intake Department, Behavioral Health Unit Location: Highland Hills, Ohio (44122) – Greater Cleveland nursing jobs Unit Size: 24-bed behavioral health unit Patient Population: Adults ages 18-99 Patient Ratio: 1:4 Shifts: 3 per week (Friday-Sunday) Shift Hours: 12-hour nights (7:00pm – 7:30am) Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36 Contract Length: 12 weeks Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990 - $2260 Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs or business casual (no hoodies) Orientation: Weekly, every Monday Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Ohio RN license Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience Current CPR certification Completion of CPI training within 30 days of start Ability to recognize and treat mental health conditions Compassionate, resilient, and proactive approach to patient care Professionalism and ability to maintain composure in challenging situations Behavioral Health RN Responsibilities Perform comprehensive intake assessments for behavioral health patients Monitor and manage patients with mental health diagnoses including detox, depression, and psychosis Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare facility protocols Provide compassionate support and mental health education to patients and families Contribute to a positive unit culture and respond proactively during down times Highland Hills, Ohio offers travel nurses a welcoming community, convenient amenities, and proximity to Cleveland’s healthcare jobs and cultural attractions.
