Med/Surg Tele RN Job Details Location: Springfield, OH 45504 (Ohio travel nursing opportunity) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Start Date: September 22, 2025 End Date: December 22, 2025 Shift: 12-hour nights (Navy blue scrubs required) Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680-$1800 Unit: 30-bed Med/Surg Telemetry (Orthopedic, bariatric, and medical surgical patients) Nursing Model: Team nursing: 1 RN and 1 LPN per team, 2 techs per shift, dedicated HUC on days Remote Telemetry: 1:10 nurse-to-patient ratio Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio or compact state (required) Minimum 1 year of RN experience (required) 6 months of acute care hospital experience (preferred) BLS certification (required prior to direct patient care) ACLS, CCRN, PCCN, and NIH Stroke Certification (preferred) Ability to pass EKG exam EPIC EHR experience (preferred) Strong clinical skills: critical thinking, communication, and teamwork Availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday No local candidates accepted for this travel RN job Med/Surg Tele RN Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans Administer medications, manage IVs, ports, and PICC lines Monitor remote telemetry and respond promptly to changes in patient condition Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care Serve as a patient advocate and promote patient safety Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions Manage care for patients with multi-system organ failure, orthopedic, bariatric, and medical surgical needs Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate clinical documentation Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced hospital environment Experience the benefits of travel nursing in Ohio while expanding your clinical expertise.
