Travel Nurse Job Details Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210 Healthcare Setting: Perianesthesia Unit (PACU) Employment Type: Travel RN / Locum Tenens Contract Duration: 13 weeks Start Date: October 20, 2025 End Date: January 19, 2026 Shift: Night shifts (4x10-hour, 23:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 40 Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekends per 4-week schedule Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics Unit Size: 20 beds, daily census 30-50 Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2040-$2090 PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care RN experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or Ohio state RN license required at submission) Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (CCRN preferred) Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred Proficiency with electronic charting systems Two professional references (one from a nurse manager, director, or clinical leadership) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions considered) PACU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia nursing care to adult and geriatric patients Monitor and manage patients recovering from anesthesia, including telemetry and ventilator support Administer blood products, IV vasopressors, and anesthesia reversal agents as needed Perform pain assessments and manage pain using PCA pumps and nerve blocks Care for patients with central lines, epidurals, and external ventricular drains (EVD) Recognize and manage cardiac dysrhythmias and respond to rapid changes in patient condition Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, rapid response, etc.) Accurately document patient care using electronic health record (EHR) systems Participate in self-scheduling and maintain compliance with hospital protocols Experience the benefits of travel nursing jobs in Ohio and enjoy the excitement of Columbus while making a difference in patient care.
