Travel Nurse Job Details Location: Columbus, Ohio (43210) – Ohio healthcare jobs Unit: MICU Oncology (J11 ICU/MICU) Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Week: 36 Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/3/2025 – End: 2/2/2026) Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics Charting System: EPIC Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1940-$1990 Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent MICU nursing experience Previous travel nurse experience required Active RN license (compact or Ohio state license) Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Proficient with EPIC charting system Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership) Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) MICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to oncology and medical patients Manage patients with diagnoses such as oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, neuromuscular disease, drug overdose, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis Perform and assist with advanced procedures: mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, and plasmapheresis Administer complex medication regimens and support clinical trials Utilize specialized equipment: NxStage CRRT machines, Cortrak NG/Dobhoff placement, Alaris IV pumps, GE monitors Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy Maintain infection prevention protocols and isolation precautions Document patient care accurately using EPIC Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Columbus, Ohio!
